Be Entertained By The Baton Rouge Events

Baton Rouge will never be found wanting of events and activities to spice up their days and nights. It is perhaps one of those cities where much is in store for the local community to enjoy almost all year round.

At www.citysearch.com (batonrouge.citysearch.com), click on the site's 'EVENTS' tab, and you'll be able to see the list of upcoming theater events, sports schedules, exhibits, concerts and festivals. One will then provided with information on the date, time and venue. You'll be also provided with a link where you can purchase your tickets. A brief description of what the program is about is placed. This is a valuable guide for those who may want to witness, and be a part of any of these events. The website also provides for information other than Baton Rouge events - as details about the hotels, bars & clubs, shopping, and lots more.

It is at the Baton Rouge River Center that many events take place. Try to see www.brrivercenter.com, as they also feature there the scheduled programs for the coming days. The center is very beautiful and elegant - and provides for the necessary space that accommodates a lot of people - around 10,000 seats are available. Baton Rouge events as trade shows and exhibits can also be held here, aside from the sports and entertainment events in has been hosting for around 25 years.

Some of these festivals are the Audubon Pilgrimage in March, Denham Springfest & Independence Italian Festival in April, Jambalaya Festival in May, Cajun Oktoberfest & Sugarfest in October, and many more. Visit www.tripinfo.com for a complete listing of these festivals.

In month of May, the popular event is the 'Fest for All', which is a community party for the visual arts and the performing arts. It started way back in 1973 done to celebrate the community's cultural diversity. This festival is scheduled in the first week of May - and highly entertaining live music - from blues to classical types are played. Also on this festival are the crafts demonstrations, presentations of a variety of Louisiana cuisines, etc. Definitely the 'Fest for All' can be considered one of the finest of Baton Rouge events. In the month of June, there is also the 'Star Spangled Celebration'.
